Before you read this, you should realize that it is much better if you have it explained to you, such as talking with a true christian about it. I have the time to do so, and frequently do so. My e-mail address is jojensen1@juno.com Anything you say will remain private. I check my e-mail account every day, and I promise not to sign you up for any spam.
Jesus died for all people, and leaves a standing offer to all to follow him. He makes the offer to all people, thus he died for all people, however not all people accept it. (Acceptance requires following him.)
No, there are parts of the Bible that are not intended to be taken exactly as they are written. For example there are parables, or simple stories that are intended to teach a lesson. Many prophesies are written sybolicly.
Everything that cannot logically be taken proverbially, under any interpretation must be taken exactly as it is written.
No, different religions are not all paths leading to the same place. Take this example, according to the Jewish religion, following any other God is the most serious sin there is, and is punishable by death. On the other hand Hindews worship many many different gods. The major religions are in direct conflict in terms of what they believe and what must be done to get to where ever the destination is. They don't even agree what that place is.
I am recieveing no money, or material goods for any thing on this site, or e-mail I have done. I am only receiving the gift of Salvation and eternal life form Jesus Christ that he gives to all people who truly follow him. (Only? I'm getting something greater than any amount of money could ever be and I say 'only'?)
I believe that salvation comes through Jesus Christ, not through the church. The church is only an institution.
Any denomination that is Christ centered is valid. In other words any denomination or sect that concentrates on the salvation of Jesus Christ is valid. (This includes following Jesus, see this link)
There is a wealth of Egyptian hyrogliphics, however most of it
were on the
Egyptian monuments and temples. They only recorded
victories, never defeats.
That is why they don't have the records of
Israel leaving. There are records reffering to Israel as a wondering
people. (Not a nation.)
