Jesus Christ is the Son of God, he died for you. Jesus promises eternal life to those who truly follow Him. As the son of God, he Can and will pay up. (I have found Jesus Christ working in my life, and assure you that he will deliver. After all he is the Son of God ) You should note that there is a difference between truly following him and merely claiming to believe. Click here for a complete description. For those that truly follow Jesus, this means that we litteraly can't lose. We will go to heaven. The most extream thing that can be done to us as believers is killing us. We then go to heaven, which is in any description, better than where we are now, and we win big time. The opposite is to have nothing done to us, in which case we tell others about Jesus, and more are saved. Anything in between the two is suffering in the name of Jesus. A reward will await us in heaven and we will set an example for others. People still get to hear the good news about Jesus, and more find the salvation. In short, nothing in this world has power over the true followers of Jesus, as long as they do not reject his salvation. (By no longer following him.)
Now, for what Jesus's call to action is. We are to tell people about Jesus and do good deeds. (Not too complicated is it?) Telling people the good news about Jesus has the obvious purpose of helping others to save themselves. As for the good deeds, as long as we will win anyway, we really have to do something to help someone else out. After all, 'we love because God first loved us.' any thing else would be selfish, self-centered, egotistical, etc. At any rate we can't lose any way, so duh, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Instead of just saying it is so, without backing it up, I will give you where God says it.
